Public Dumpster Schedule
Fayette County Public Dumpster Site (Monday - Friday)
In addition to solid waste pickup, the County offers a drop-off site at its Road Shop (1112 Hwy 96 Fayette, AL 35555) for residents to bring old appliances, tires, construction clean-up, debris clean-up, and general large garbage items from their residential properties. This service is provided to prevent illegal dumping along the roadside.
This dumpster site is open any time the Road Shop is open: Monday - Friday 6am - 4:30pm.
The County plans to start a recycling facility at this dump site and sort all scrap metal that can be transferred to a local recycling facility in the city of Fayette. The plan for the County is to initially start with recycling scrap metal and cardboard; however, over the next 5 years, the plan will expand to start an education campaign and expand to recycling of paper materials and aluminum.
Fayette County Weekend Dumpster Sites (Saturday)
Fayette County also provides all districts with more convenient access to the solid waste dumpster on weekends at sites throughout the County. The dumpster will be available at the designated site from 8am - 12pm, or until it is filled. The dumpster locations for 2025 are below:
