Weather Radios

Before a major storm event occurs, weather and emergency professionals alike recommend getting and programming a NOAA Weather Radio. A NOAA Weather Radio is an "All Hazards" radio network that broadcasts continuous weather information directly from the nearest National Weather Service office.

If this isn't the weather radio that you have, just make sure to set your radio to the proper frequency and county. Newer radios have you select the county name from a list, but older radios that have S.A.M.E. technology may require a code. Fayette County has two options:
