Fayette County Engineering Office

The Fayette County Engineering Office manages the maintenance and construction of county highways, bridges, and drainage structures. The Engineer's Office also conducts County bridge inspections and reporting in accordance to national and state safety standards.

The engineering department is also responsible for preparing annual material bids; reviewing highway and bridge plans, contracts, and cost estimates for technical accuracy; planning work schedules; and inspecting construction sites to monitor progress and ensure adherence to engineering plan specifications and construction and safety standards.
